Simadoura is open from the morning, serving coffee, omelets, pancakes, and pastries. Then, during the early afternoon hours, there’s a 2-3 hour pause for the main dishes to be carefully and lovingly prepared. From cheese pies to fava beans, lentil salad, and Imam Bayildi, even Symi shrimp, Smyrna spiced up meatballs, and the signature dish, “tsigariasto” goat. Often, spontaneous live music will fill the place. It’s all about the company.

SIMADOURA’S MOTHER

The soul and brains behind Simadoura, owner and cook Chrysa, began her journey in gastronomy in 2014. A lifelong dream finally growing roots. Influences from her grandmother and aunt, both professional cooks, quickly made their way into her dishes. Years after Simadoura’s opening on the island, guests and friends come by at first for the company and then for the food.
